There isn't a horse on the place that exemplifies our genetics more than Lady. Her sire, Woody, has been our primary stallion for 20 years. Her dam, Gunslinger Cowgirl (See Reference Mares), was sired by Gunner. Snippy Pine Tootsie was out of my first stallion and a mare that came from my dad. I kept her first full sibling for myself with the intention of making him my replacement rope horse for when I retired Woody. I started him when he was 2 but then lost him as a 3-year old in a freak accident. It goes with out saying that we had to retain a Woody daughter for the broodmare band. This one is special. She had a very nice bay filly out of FFW in 2022, a gorgeous buckskin FFW filly in 2023 and added a bay FFW colt in 2024. That colt went to my daughter and son-in-law in Nebraska who already own a full brother to Lady. She gave us a gorgeous bay filly out of Guys Easy Jet in 2025. That filly will eventually be joining the broodmare band. Lady is bred back to FFW for 2026. It will be another good one.
