There isn't a horse on the place that exemplifies our genetics more than Lady. Her sire, Woody, has been our primary stallion for 20 years. Her dam is still in the broodmare band (see above) and was sired by Gunner. That mares dam was out of my first stallion and a mare that came from my dad. I kept her first full sibling for myself with the intention of making him my replacement rope horse for when I retired Woody. I started him when he was 2 but then lost him as a 3-year old in a freak accident. It goes with out saying that we had to retain a Woody daughter for the broodmare band. This one is special. She had a very nice bay filly out of FFW in 2022, a gorgeous buckskin FFW filly in 2023 and added a bay FFW colt in 2024. She is bred to Guys Easy Jet for 2025. We're hoping for another filly for the broodmare band.
