We're located 1.5 miles SE of Belle Fourche.  The easiest way to find us is to take Highway 34 toward St. Onge from Belle Fourche, right after you cross the Red Water River, go North on Gaver Road.  Follow the road approximately 2 miles through 2 turns on the next curve you will see a red horse barn and arena.  Cross the bridge for the irrigation canal and the red house on your right is ours. 

Visitors are welcome anytime.  We'd love to show you our horses.  Give us a call to make sure that we are home.  We are usually on the go.  

FAMILY INFORMATION:

We originally grew up in the Colome - Winner area of South Dakota.  Both of our families loved horses.  The 3 mares that we started with were mares that Dan's dad raised.  We raised our first colt in 1989.  It really doesn't seem like it has been 20 years already!!! 

Our oldest daughter, Heather, graduated from Dakota State University in Madison, SD, received her masters from Northern State University in Aberdeen, SD and will be a fourth year teacher in Piedmont, SD this fall.  Here is Heather with her mare, Miss Skips Fancy, by Skips Go Lucky Lucas and Miss Amber Jewel and her first baby out of Sak Em Wily Wood.

Jessi is a Registered Nurse in Scottsbluff, NE.  Here is Jessi with Skips Indy Doll.       

Josh is a Farm Loan Officer for the Farm Service Agency in Hot Springs, SD.

             
The picture on the left is Brenda with the first colt we raised on our ranch, Leo's Jet Man AKA "Spanky".  Spanky was sold to Jeff and Kelly Smith in New York in 2005.  Their son, Mitch, and Spanky qualified for the 2006 National High School Rodeo Finals in team roping.  The second picture is Brenda imprinting Jazz's 2006 horse colt. 

Weren't they cute when they were little?  Our kids from left to right:  Miss Skip Fancy, Heather, Go Lucky Beauty (Beaut), Jessi, Lucky Skip Ashwood (Bambi) and Josh.  This picture was taken in the spring of 1999.  Looking at this picture makes me feel old but blessed!!

Dan and Woody at the annual Bieber Red Angus Ranch Calf Branding in May of 2006.           Dan was all smiles after winning  the Leola Roping Club finals in the fall of 2006.
